There are several factors that goes into determining how much child support payments should be. One, is health insurance, who’s paying for the health insurance? Two, is child care cost, who’s paying for it, are you contributing towards it? Another one is the time-sharing, the more time that you have with the child, the less you’re financial obligation would be. Also, of course, your net income. Your net income is calculated after tax and after any mandatory retirement dues. Again, it has to be mandatory. If it’s not mandatory, it’s not calculated. Once your net income is calculated, that is what goes into determining how much child support payments should be.
