DIVORCE ATTORNEY FORT MYERS | FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY FORT MYERS

After all the filings have been done, then the pleadings will now be closed. Once pleading is closed, you have 45 days from the date of service of the original petition to exchange mandatory disclosure. After you exchange mandatory disclosure, then the case will be set for a case management. At case management that is where we determine what issues we need to go forward on, on any motions, on any temporary relief motions such as child support or alimony before a trial is heard. We also set mediation date. Once mediation has been set, if we can agree in mediation, then the case will be over and just await the final judgment from the judge. If all issues haven’t been able to get resolved at mediation, then we will be going to trial.
