CHILD SUPPORT LAWYER FORT MYERS | DIVORCE ATTORNEY FORT MYERS
Not necessarily. The way child support guideline is based is based on each party’s income. If your ex-spouse is voluntarily not working and is making no effort to seek employment, then the court may impute the median income for them. Once income is imputed, then whatever their financial obligation is stated in the child support guideline based on that income that was imputed to them, they still may be obligated to pay you that portion of the child support.
