Child custody and time-sharing, essentially, it’s how you and your spouse will divide the time that you spend with the child. There are several factors that the court takes into consideration. The court looks at Florida statute 61.13, and that statute has factors listed from A through T. There are several factors that the court looks at. One of the main factors is, which parent is going to allow the child to foster a relationship with the other parent. If you are against the child having a relationship with that other parent, that is a big no-no in the Florida court system and the court could, essentially, switch the time-sharing agreement where that other parent will have the majority of the time-sharing.
